Stephen began writing stories for his 13 year old son and 6 year old daughter whilst recovering from stage four cancer.

CandyLandy BananieRamie's First Day, a picture book for children about identity and belonging, and Awake the Islands, a YA fantasy of sword and sorcery.

What began as gifts to them to help them through a sad and difficult time became something more when they encouraged him to share these stories with the world. They are very different books but share a similar theme around identiy, empowerment and seeing the world for the truly magical and wonderful place it is.

Stephen loves morning coffee, long walks in scenic landscapes and challenging himself to learn new and creative things every day.
